"HP / LP ports" is the number of high-pressure and low-pressure ports on the first stage, which caps how many accessories (transmitter, SPG, inflator, second second-stage) you can run at once.

Pros
  • Sealed AND internally dry flow-through piston first stage, a combination Sherwood markets as unique to this design
  • Single-point adjustment sets both opening effort and flow in one motion, quick to dial in dockside
  • 5 low-pressure ports on a 360-degree swivel give flexible hose routing for stage bottles or backplate rigs
Cons
  • Direct successor to the discontinued SR1, so used SR1 parts and service support are getting harder to find
  • Also sold in a yoke version, confirm the listing matches this DIN spec
  • No octopus included at this price, the SR9952 octo is a separate purchase

Sherwood’s own flagship line for years was the SR1; it’s now discontinued and the SR2 has taken over as the current top-tier piston reg, carrying forward the same environmentally sealed, dry-chamber design with an added “Three Pin Link” mechanism. It’s aimed at divers who want a piston reg that shrugs off silt and cold without the maintenance hassle piston designs are usually known for.
