The Oceans S1 Supersonic is built around a novelty most dive computers don’t have: built-in ultrasonic communication that lets divers “ping” a buddy or instructor underwater without hand signals. It launched via Kickstarter and went on to ship at retail, and Oceans has since followed it with a second-generation S2. It’s still a niche product from a small Swedish outfit rather than an established dive-computer brand, so parts and service depend on the company’s continued operation.
