Scubapro

Scubapro G2 Tek

The G2's case and screen, retuned for technical diving with a straight gradient-factor algorithm.

Open BLE sync (libdivecomputer)

Syncs wirelessly with third-party apps (Subsurface, Currents, etc.), not just the manufacturer app.

"Gas switches" is how many different mixes this computer can be programmed to switch between mid-dive, mostly relevant for technical/staged-decompression diving. It doesn't tell you which gas types (air, nitrox, trimix) are supported. See Gas types and the product description above for that.

Pros
  • Straight ZH-L16 GF algorithm instead of Scubapro's adaptive ADT model, for divers who want direct gradient-factor control
  • Rechargeable battery good for up to 50 hours per charge
  • Full tilt digital compass and Scuba/Freediving/Gauge/CCR/Sidemount modes
Cons
  • 120m depth rating is shallower than the standard G2's 200m
  • Optional hoseless air integration transmitter sold separately
  • Rechargeable battery means planning around charging on multi-day trips

The G2 Tek takes the G2’s full-color case and display and swaps in a straight ZH-L16 GF algorithm in place of Scubapro’s adaptive ADT model, aimed at technical divers who want direct control over gradient factors rather than Scubapro’s proprietary tuning.
